Pardon my ignorance, but where is Wing?

I can find one marriage of a Thomas Lock to a Marth Nickar in 1695 in Hoxne, Suffolk

However if Thomas was born in 1680 this won't be your man unless he married at 15 years of age!

Wing might be in Buckinghamshire - England Select Births and Christenings has a baptism of Mary, daughter of Thomas and Martha baptised 17 January 1714.

Thanks for that Rosie. Now I know where to start looking.

I see BumbleB has come up with a promising baptism for their child.

I am wondering how you know that Martha -not Mary (Thomas's wife) was born in Wing if you don't have their marriage  :-\

Do you have the burials of Thomas & Martha if so what information do they give

And that baptism also appears on the Buckinghamshire baptisms via FindMyPast.  However, parish register appears to indicate 1713, whilst the BT's say 1714.  Only transcriptions available.

A brother for Mary - Thomas, baptised 21 October 1715 at Wing.

No sign of Thomas senior, or a marriage for Thomas and Martha.

Added:  From the link given by tazzie - The baptism for Thomas junior states that he is the son of Thomas Lock of Ascot.

There are a few burials for Thomas Lock at Wing, and Martha = 9 March 1721.

Here's a plug for the village web site..

  www.wing-ops.org.UK

In the archives section are the parish registers listed by volume. Unfortunately much of the early ones
are listed as on family search but may not be complete.

It is not Ascot where the races take place but Ascott nr Wing  ;)   :)

Ascott is a small area now more well know as having a hunting lodge once owned by the Rothschild family. The original "hall" was a farm around 1600. Now a few houses around Well Lane leading to Ledburn but very rural.

Lots of happy days out here.

If I remember the Rothschild collection of pictures there were mainly horses.   ;D
