I would appreciate some assistance on a few names from this will which I am finding hard to read in places.
Extract 1 - line 5 staring on the middle
I give unto * Wigglesworth
Joane * the wife of Adam * and Alice[?] Wigle
worth the wife of Roberty Wigglesworth .....
Extract - last line
What is the name at the beginning?
Extract 3 - line 3
What comes after sister?
What is the forename at the end of the line?
many thanks
Edward

Robert Wrigglesworth?
I think the surname for Alice starts with a "G"
-
3. I give unto my sister Bawden .......... Brian?
-
2. Alice Paulmer? Variant of Palmer or Polmear if from Cornwall.
-
If this will is from Cornwall I would try Joane Odger.
-
In extract 1:
Mathewe Wigglesworth
Joane Tegoe
Agree with Philip on Bawden & Paulmer
-
Thanks for the replies, the will is from Leverington which is a mile north of Wisbech.
I think that Alice Paulmer is probably right, Bawden looks good and there was a Bryan Wigglesworth around at the right time, however not convinced on that one yet.

It appears to be spelt: Br?as
Brias looks most likely.

Thanks, a bigger snip of the odd forename attached

Joane Tegoe[/b]
On second thoughts - I'm with you on the _goe ending.
It definitely isn't Jagoe, so Tegoe looks good.
Philip
-
In the second line of extract 3, Adam Tegoe is pretty clear.
-
Tegoe / Tego as a surname is looking good - an Adam married in Leverington in 1596, now trying to find the surname of the bride

Looks like he married Joan Wiglesworth but need to see the PR's to be sure
