Hello all. John Bond is my direct line and I have been given conflicting information by people about John's baptism and parents that cannot be backed up by proof. Although there are some excellent PRs on line, they don't seem to go back far enough.
I have been told 1613 and 1621, either Darley, North Wingfield or Bakewell. His marriage to Dorothy Knowles took place in Bakewell which I know about.
I also have a query about Dorothy's parents. Thomas KNOWLES and Margaret GREENE married at Darley 30 Nov 1612. I have been told Thomas's baptism was in 1577 and Margaret's in 1585 , both without any indication of their parents or confirmation of the place.
It's all a bit woolly for my liking and I would very much appreciate some help please in confirming the correct dates and places.
