Hello everyone.
I'm trying to find the baptism/parents of Robert Farrer/Farrow.
He married Elizabeth Shawl in Hillington in 1815 "with parental consent". According to the 1841 census he was born about 1796. He then died in 1848
On his marriage his surname is spelt 'Farrer', and on the 1841 Census it is 'Farrow'
Hoping a fresh pair of eyes may help :)

According to his burial entry he was born 1796. He was buried in Flitcham.
The closest baptism I can find is for a Robert Farret baptised 24 December 1797 in Broome, parents John and Sarah. His sister Elizabeth was baptised the same day.

The original register (image available on familysearch) has Robert's surname as FARRET, but Elizabeth's surname looks more like FARREL. I think Emeltom has cracked it.

After all my hard work I found this ::)
As the Fairhead boys had had no education they were not able to read and write, so their written records depended on others to write their name them correctly.
John was married under the name of Farrett but as Hannah and Sarah were born at Hedenham, near the Fairhead home of Beddingham, the name was correctly entered into the register.
After Hannah's death in, 1795, John with 5 young children to care for married Sarah Butcher, he was registered as John Farhoad. Their children are registered as;
Robert Farrit, Elizabeth Farrit, Maria Forret, Phoebe Forret, John Forrott, William Forrott, Ann Farrit, Harriet Farrit, Lydia Ferrit, Susan Fairhead and Harriet Fairhead.
