In 1911 (not looking for info  ;D !) I have the above living in Llandybie, Carmarthenshire as the nephew of John Owen and Jane Thomas.

I cannot make a connection.

Can anybody find him in 1901 please?

Hirwaun would have come under the Merthyr district.

In the Jan quarter there is a Thomas Jones, MMN Thomas - which could be how he's related to the couple in 1911

Finding John Owen Thomas and Jane Thomas in the previous census they have a different nephew with them - 14 year old David Jones
