The only record for a Bridget Hayden in Mohill district seems to be a death in 1921. Where did you find the information that a Bridget Hayden married 1887 Mohill to James Carney? Searching for all over Ireland there doesn't seem to be a record either.

1911 shows a John and Bridget Carney married 24 years-

However, Bridget's maiden name Rogan-

There is only one CARNEY family in Mullaghbrack on the 1901 census LINK (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000964327/)
at house 15 in Mullaghbrack (Mohill, Leitrim)
still there in 1911 LINK (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai002710189/)
at house 10 in Mullaghbrack (Mohill, Leitrim)

Michael CARNEY m Ellen FLYNN on Feb 22 1886 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1886/10828/5949603.pdf)

I can see a transcribed record for James CARNEY/KEARNEY to Bridget HAYADEN on Oct 30 1887 in Mohill Roman Catholic Church; it gives no parents names or sponsors names and unfortunately the NLI site stops at 1882 to check the original

John CARNEY who married Bridget ROGAN did so in Gortletteragh RC Church according the records

I wonder is this them on the 1901 census LINK (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000964339/)
at 5 in Mullynadrumman (Mohill, Leitrim)

James CARNEY died Mar 20 1903 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1903/05661/4593859.pdf)
Gortinure, Mullydrumman and Mullaghbrack are all in the same small area

I don't see a death or remarriage for Bridget or see her on the 1911 census

I wonder is HAYDEN the correct name

The rootsireland.ie transcription reads HAYADEN

The probate for James CARNEY who died in 1903 is to a Thomas HARGADEN LINK (http://www.willcalendars.nationalarchives.ie/search/cwa/details.jsp?id=1639467290)

Then there is a marriage of a Thomas KENNEDY to Bridget HARGADEN on Aug 22 1910 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1910/09993/5634230.pdf)
Although she is shown as a spinster rather than a widow but this can happen

They had at least three sons John 1912, Thomas 1913 & Peter 1915 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-perform-search.jsp?namefm=&namel=kennedy&location=Mohill&yyfrom=1910&yyto=1920&type=B&submit=Search)

Bridget KENNEDY died May 12 1940 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1940/04720/4261300.pdf)

I notice Bridget was much younger than James wonder if she started off as a type of maid to the family.

Without local knowledge this would be very difficult to establish

Also age differences could stem from made matches as well

Bridget HARGADEN was born on Aug 25 1868 LINK (https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1868/03428/2258069.pdf) #220
to Patt/Patrick HARGADEN & Catherine MacCARTAIN
baptised in Fenagh RC Church LINK (https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000632417#page/53/mode/1up)
address Aughabonail - same as on marriage record to Thomas KENNEDY

Unfortunately she was on the 1901 census LINK (http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000968086/) with her family
at house 8 in Aghaboneill (Rowan, Leitrim)

If you could locate the original marraige record to see what the name of Bridget's father was it would be most helpful

The James Carney who died in 1903 has Bridget Carney listed as the informant - his widow

I don't think that Bridget HARDAGEN that married Thomas KENNEDY is the same as Bridget CARNEY

I do believe that the transcribed surname on the 1887 marriage for Bridget is possibly not HAYDEN but without sponsors' and parents' names it will be difficult to place either party

I do think the 1901 census find and 1903 death record is most probably the couple but Bridget then seems to disappear! The probate is to a Thomas HARDAGEN as previously given
