Hello,
I am trying to find details of James HYLAND after March 1858. I am fairly conversant with his general profile up to that point and although he had been in prison he does not appear to have re-offended after March 1858. His father was John HYLAND, a Gas Fitter, who at one stage earlier in the 1850's lived in Princes Street, Birmingham.
Any information would be welcome.

Can you give any further info about him such as when and where he was Born? Do you have him on any of the early Censuses?

Sorry - just realised that you gave his birth etc in the title.

There are various James Hylands travelling to America or Australia, but they do appear to be Irish.
-
I wonder if he changed his name when he came out of prison for a fresh start.
Have you tried starting at the end and looking for any likely deaths?

Hello Milliepede,
I managed to find fuller details of the marriage..........sadly, it may be the wrong person, simply because his father's occupation is given as Stonemason whereas he was originally a Gas Fitter.

More details from the marriage would help as having trouble finding them after :-\
There is an Ellen age 12 in 1861 with a father James who is a shoemaker so would help to confirm his occupation. They are living in the village Defford Worcestershire. She would be marriage age in 1873.
As chempat says there are other James Hylands but of Irish descent.
