This may be a long shot in the dark but I am trying to find information about a family who my mother remembers as Pat Herbert and his wife who lived at Mascot, NSW. My mother now 98 used to live with them around 1930's. There was at least one daughter that can be remembered. Any help in tracing this family would be much appreciated for writing up a grand old ladies life history. Thank you

Thanks Cando, A great start in my search. Unfortunately mum can't remember a lot but when I give a prompt it starts her off remembering people. Would love to know more about this family as they were a great help to my mother's family in the depression years. thank you

Inscription for the above has names as Patrick and Bridget with 'My husb' and '& dear dau'.
So, it looks like mother Mary was still alive at time of Patrick's death in 1959.

This is a death notice for a Patrick HERBERT from the Sydney Morning Herald 11 March 1959. He is husband of Mary and lived in Townsend St, Condell Park, so seems to be the man who Cando and jamjar are describing.

Their children are named in Patrick’s SMH death notice. Deaths are also on NSWBDM.
