Title: Culmer ancesters from Broadstairs, England
Post by: 39descendant on Tuesday 30 January 18 20:28 GMT (UK)
My sister is the genealogist in our family.  She has traced one branch back to 862, when "Knut the Kulmer" landed in England.  We think, but cannot confirm, that he was from Denmark.  After a number of generations, the family took the surname Culmer, and went to Broadstairs, where one of them carved the stairs in the cliff.  If any of the Culmers there is interested in the data I have, I'm willing to share.

Hi, Cuz,

My email is: (*)

I haven't heard him referred to as The Hammer!  Can't be certain we are talking about the same person.  Are you in the US or the UK?
