Military records list "H Hague" as next-of-kin. Could be wife, could be cousin, could be sister?
I am looking for information on the possible marriage of Lawrence Wilfred Hague, probably in Queensland or NSW. His parents were Lawrence Hague and Myrtle Williams. All I have is that her name started with "H", and she was listed on Lawrence's military records from the National Archives. I have been unable to find any kind of record showing her name. Any direction will be appreciated.

Thanks, Ros, but that's his father's second marriage. From military records, it appears LWH was born in 1916, but I can't find any other record, of any kind. Robyn

This is possibly his wife. Her 3 initials are mentioned on page 21 of his military record.

Thanks to EVERYONE who responded. I just now found her full name mentioned in the military records, and you already provided me with the funeral notice. Thanks SO much! I'll keep trying to find her maiden name.

Her death registration:

Jamjar: How do I now find out her maiden name? Which site should I access?
-
By purchasing a transcript of her death certificate, I think. Or, by finding a marriage registration, which I have had no luck with.

Thanks so much for trying. I really do appreciate it.

I’m thinking that they weren’t married, as in her family members’ death notices in 1941, 1944, 1945 it mentions a Miss Hettie/Nettie Platt.

Added: It appears the whole family were deceased by 1948.
Sister Olive (Davis) in 1928 http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article62341500;

Do you have the death of Lawrence?
-
The waters are getting muddier yet. I do believe Lawrence married Henrietta Platt because on Page 21 of his military papers, her name is written out specifically as his wife. Her address is listed as 78 Myre(?) Street, North Ward, Townsville. I cannot however prove this. When he was discharged, paperwork and medal were sent to Mrs. Jack Siddaway, 3 Bower Street, Manly NSW.
Now another piece of the puzzle has cropped up. I have a Kenneth Hague, born 14 April 1924, father Lawrence Hague, 3 Fourth Avenue, South Townsville. On his military papers, next-of-kin was originally written as Barbara Ellen Hague, this was crossed out and 'father, Lawrence Hague' written in. Barbara Ellen Pearce Hague was the second wife of Lawrence Wilfred Hague Sr. Again, Queensland BDM is unable to provide any information, or at least nothing that I could find. Is it possible that Lawrence Jr. was the son of Lawrence Sr and Myrtle Gladys Williams, and Kenneth was the son of Lawrence Sr. and Barbara Ellen Pearce?
Is there SOME way that I can prove either of these? ANY help will be appreciated.

Henrietta is buried at Townsville’s Belgian Gardens Cemetery. There are quite a few Hague buried there.

She is buried with Henrietta Louisa and Lillian Mabel Platt. Next to William John and John William Coleman Platt.

Re marriage, it has been known for women living with their mate to adopt his surname when not married. My step-mother lived, had a son to my father and is buried using his surname when not married.

You will need to remove name of son born in 1924 if you don’t have proof of death.
They married in 1936 and you say the was born in 1924. So if he isn’t the son of first wife, then he could be the son of Barbara to a first marriage or unknown father. He may have been adopted by Lawrence, or simply used the new family surname.
When and where did Lawrence Jnr die?
