Hello,
Can anyone help me - I am trying to find the name(s) of the licensee of the pub 'The Three Horse Shoes' that was in Melkridge, Northumberland during the 1940's and 1950's.
Fingers crossed that some one can assist.
Many thanks,
AllanUK

AllanUK,
It might be worthwhile to contact the local library (or libraries) and ask if they have any directories that might provide that info (if you haven't done so already).

Hi both,
Josephine -- Have contacted local library but no answer yet. (not unusual these days)
Cathy -- thanks for confirming Gertrude Walton in 1939, I had picked this up from the 1939 register on Find My Past.
Many thanks,
