Title: Family Of Lily Or Robert Morris
Post by: R_Morgan on Sunday 04 February 18 18:43 GMT (UK)
Hi everyone I am searching for a son of Lily Ivy Morris born 1914 in Birmingham. She had a son called Robert William Morris in 1947 but I am to believe there was another son born before or after Robert. She passed away in Redditch in 2005 and Robert passed away in Coventry in 1999. If anyone knows of any relatives to Robert or Lily please could you let me know. Thank u x

If they had only been married a year divorce would not have been possible at that time

What dates and names are you certain of ??

The marriage was bigamous, Ronald Colman was my grandad, his real surname was Coffman. They married on the 21st December 1946, Robert was born on 4th June 1947

still cannot understand why Robert was reg Morris if they were married even though bigamously - unless it was discovered before Robert was born?

I think she must have found out he was married to my nan before Robert was born. I have a picture of census information for Lily and it shows her name, the name Colman crosses through, the date of the marriage and above it there is a date from October 1947, it has a reference number also, I can’t figure out what it’s for, although it does start with the letter BIG (I’m assuming short for bigamy)

It wouldn't be a census you have that information from as we only are able to view up to 1911 -there is a 1939 register but that would be too early

So where does your information come from??

we are only allowed to pot images of a little bit of a document - the relevant part

What type of document is it?
Newspaper report?

Just type the information instead of copying -as long as noone living is mentioned
