Hello
Wondering if anyone has any information on Edward who died aged 95 in 1867. He was a farmer in Keady and died a bachelor according to the death certificate. He had a relative Elizabeth Jane McAdam (1820-1880)who married a Samuel Watson(1800-1890). I know they had a son called Robert and I believe a daughter called Jane. Any information relating to them would be greatly appreciated.

I have Jane Watson being born on 25 Dec 1856 to Betty Jane McAdam and Samuel Watson
I can't find any record of a marriage for her she may have died as a young child or left Ireland
I didn't find any more children for Elizabeth Jane and Samuel

Thanks. You have confirmed everything I have with the Watson side. Dont know if I will get further with them or the McAdam side.

Dunlarg townlandmap ref 18
Dunlarge road is about 2 miles north of keady
Dunlarg Rd, Keady, Armagh BT60 3EN runs from crosskeys road to keady road using google modern map, go to 25 dunlarg road
go to satellite view and if you click on road you should get a little window opening saying dunlarg road, but I couldn’t see a lane or road leading to the areaof a sguare area withabout 4 small fields he has four acres a modest house and an enclosure a barn perhaps
if you go to PRONI amd look for Valuation continuation books or revision books you might find when he left the property
good luck onwards

Thanks for the info and sorry for the delay but I havent been well over the last month.
I had the Griffiths info and revisions so went to the Land Registry office having been told to do this by PRONI. They told me to go back to PRONI ! Anyway I insisted as this was my second visit to them so they asked for the address. As I couldnt give them one they allowed me to look at the map and I pointed out the land. From that I now have all the details of the ownership up to the present day. I think it was the first time the guy had to do a search like this but he was more than helpful once we got going. I checked some other land from my grandmothers side too and this proved to be very beneficial in establishing the background to a cousin my father had once mentioned.

Well done Oliver for your fortitude in the face of bureaucracy red tape and the result you obtained.
Were you able to see the entry i believe you already have when at PRONI

the most relevant entry from previous
McAdam, Edward Townland: Dunlarge Year: 1825 Keady Armagh
the one line answer should have given you an area in irish acres rather than english acres as in Griffiths detail which when converted helps prove it’s the same homestead
have you looked at church records another PRONI databse online
