My friend has worked his King Family History back to Edmund Kings Marriage to Martha Parrot at Edenbridge on January 13th 1800.
I want to help him to get further back in time and would like to ask if there is earlier information known about.
Please can anyone Help?

I presume you have 3 Children for Edmund/Martha all christened Cowden, Kent?
JOHN 29 Aug 1802
MARTHA 19 Oct 1806
WILLIAM 11 Sept 1808
Anc has a Poll Book Register for a Edmund King 1835.
Occp not noted though.
F/S has a submitted Tree with this info;
Edmund King was described as a Victualler in Samuel Parrott's will.
Edmunds Son John was a Brewer as I am sure you know.
And William a Wheelwright.

There is a baptism for an Edward King at Yalding 15 Nov 1772 Mother Sarah - Father John
No Baptisms for any Edmunds.
John King and Sarah Joy were Married at Yalding 24 Oct 1768 .
They Baptised Edward and Ten further siblings at Yalding between 1778 and 1787
Marriage of Edmund King and Martha Parrot at Edenbridge 13 Jan 1800
Marriage of Widower Edward King ,(Son of John King) to Martha Taylor of Full age. Also at Edenbridge 17 Oct 1843
It is my supposition Edward and Edmund were the same person. Born to Sarah and John at Yalding.
