Looking for information on the above who was born Ayr 1814 and died 1856; believed buried Tarbolton. I understand she was part of the Highat family, baker in Ayr.
Many thanks.

wife of Adam Clark?

Very many thanks for reply but I don't think this is the same Margaret.

You can download her death certificate from Scotland's People website this will give her parents names including mothers maiden name and names of husband if known by the informant
-
Thanks, Wendy, will try that.

Have you seen this death for Margaret in 1856 on the index? Can't easily see one that could fit for a Margaret Douglas born c. 1814.

Hi,
Is it perhaps a Margaret Highet you are trying to find info on?
There is a Margaret Mckinzie Highet born on 22 Feb 1814 in Ayr to a Robert Highet and Margaret Douglas.

Hi again,
There is on Scotlands People an OPR death/burial record for a Margaret Highet at Tarbolton on 25th March 1836. Father is recorded as R Highet.
This death is 20 years earlier than the date you believe Margaret Douglas died. However I thought I would bring it to your attention.
