In his Will, Bishop Henry Cotton asks to be buried in the Cathedral church of Salisbury, in the same place as his deceased wife Patience [his first wife]
Henry Cotton, the son of Sir Richard Cotton of Warblington and Bedhampton Hant's, was, as a young man rector of Havant, Hants. I have read that he married Patience c.1571
I have searched many pedigrees but cannot find any details of Patience's nee name [?]
The Cotton memorial stone is not in Salisbury Cathedral now, having been removed during some refurbishment.
Has anyone seen details of Patience's family name/origins ?
