Hi if anyone else has experienced delays in receiving a report from the College of Arms please could you let me know how you dealt with it. Maybe best if you do this by private message. Thank you

Interesting you should say that miw.
I'm still waiting for a reply to a query sent over a month ago now.
My initial email outlining the query was replied to within a couple of days, so I sent some more information - and - nothing!
I have also sent a follow up email just in the last few days to see whether my email with all the information didn't somehow make it.
Still waiting.
I guess a phone call might be in order at some point - a bit difficult from the other side of the world.
Let me know if you find out what is happening! :)

I paid from a quote in October and was told about one week, no response to my emails and no reply on direct phone line to person dealing. Switchboard said I have to talk to him. I sent a new message on the website in December and got an apology and was told about one week. Sent more emails but only got a reply after sending another message via website. Last Friday I told my report would be reviewed over the weekend and sent early this week. It's now Wednesday night.

Oh dear.
I wonder what's going on?
That's really bad if you've actually paid some money and not had anything back from them.
Were you dealing with a specific person? (I won't mention any names on here just on case).
Perhaps they are ill. You'd have thought they may have told you that though.
Not a good look for the college of Arms.
Fingers crossed you hear soon.

I have been trying to obtain some information since September, multiple telephone calls, 2 different Heralds and today I finally found out that my e-mails with the information & attachments had apparently not been received.
Whilst in the phone to current Herald I sent a test message which was received in a few seconds, resent the 'missing' one and this was not received.
They appear to have a mail problem so I have now swapped to snail mail

That makes sense as I only seem to get replies when I message via the website but the replies come with my emails attached! Very odd. BTW Friday evening now so my early this week is past. I know the first delay on mine was due to illness.

I did look at trying to contact the .gov.uk webmasters but they do not publish any telephone numbers and you can only send them an e-mail if you know their name.
How odd or do I mean appalling?
-
Any up-date on this?
Did you finally get anything mlw?
-
I made an initial enquiry only a couple of weeks ago and then received the promised email follow up but the Chester Herald did apologise for the delay.
-
No reply to my latest chasing email. I'm now sending another message through the website as these seem to get through.

Hi
I heard several years ago, that part of the duties of the College of Arms were the organising of state occasions.

I also realise that they may be having to work out the position relating to a non British Royal but there have been others in the past. If in October I had been told it would be at least 3 months that would have been better than totally missing three estimated delivery dates.

I think I shall also have to do that. I sent yet another email a couple of weeks ago, and have had nothing back at all from them. :(

HI I've had a reply (it does seem that messages on website get through better than emails) the latest delay is due to illness. I am now promised my report nest week.

HI
My report arrived by email yesterday. Unfortunately they had less information than I had hoped but has given me some new info and a few leads.
