James parents appear to be William Milne b1869 St Vigeans and according to the 1901 census on Ancestry Clementina Smith b1851 Dunnichen have checked the census index on Scotlands People and it also states her age as 50 but have found the family in  1891 and Clementina was born abt 1870 Dunnichen in 1891 they have a daughter Clementina who doesn't appear in 1901 In 1901 James has 2 sisters Susan and Violet

According to a tree on ancestry James died 1976 Kisbey, Saskatchewan, Canada and according to another James married a Helen Clark and had 4 children  There is a marriage in 1910 in Forfar between a James Mitchell and Helen Soutar Clark on Scotlands People

These details would need to be checked with the orginal records found only on Scotlands People

Wendy,
Many thanks for your replies, great work. You have found the correct people i am looking for, it seems that most of the Robb family emigrated to the USA and the Milne's moved to Canada around the early 1900's. My living relative lives in Canada, Janet L Milne. I am trying to move forwards to try and find any living relatives as well as back to the 1700's

It looks like Clementina did not die young as I originally thought Clementina was born Clementina Boath Milne I think she married a George Mcintosh in 1910 Arbroath and died in 1966 in the Arbroath area they had 2 children Clement Reid Smith McIntosh b 1910 and died 1985 in Helensbourgh area  married Robina Turner Brown in 1939 Blythswood  according to the same family tree they had 2 sons and Eileen Smith McIntosh b1912 and d 1988 Arbroath married  Andrew Graham Hamilton 1939 at Kirkden Angus

My maternal grandfather was Alfred Robb, John & Mary's son, there was another brother Thomas, not on 1901 census, who was a famous coalman around Arbroath,  he was still delivering coal by horse & cart in early 70s. Still a lot of Robb's and relatives in Arbroath area
