(http://) Hi, can anyone tell me what the cross above the lance corporal stripe signifies, It's a WW1 uniform and I believe it's a Glasgow Pals HLI regiment.
Many thanks
Colin.

Can't see one like it however this is where Divisional & Battalion I.D. patches were worn.

Thanks for that Jim.

Hi Colin,
Looks like a St. Andrew's Cross but don't know the significance except as stated above some kind of Divisional patch.

Possibly 6th Black Watch/Royal Highlanders?

The Kelly Badges website has a possible:
(item D1J982) Arm Badges (Regimental Cloth) Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) & 445 LAA Regt RA

If the uniform is WW1, then the LAA Regiment can be discounted except that it had Cameronian antecedents. The photo, although much later and not too distinct, bottom right of this page of the Cameronians web site http://cameronians.org/introduction/index.html shows a very similar arm badge so Philip's find would seem a good spot.
