Title: removal of topic on facebook.

I want to remove an old topic on facebook.  How do I do it?

To the right of the topic are 3 little dots.

Click on them to bring up a menu - including "Delete"

Have tried this and there is no option to delete.

You can only remove a topic that you started, I presume that is what you are asking about?

When you click on the three dots as suggested you should see the following pop up

I am running windows 7:-  Falkryn the options that I have on opening the three dots are Pin to top, hide from cuts,Edit set and leave group.   Also there is no lock on the right side of the scree,.

The Windows version doesn't come into it  as it is facebook's system you use to amend messages.

Judging from your reply above I believe that your post was in a GROUP setting and that is different from a post on your own timeline. Just did some checking and confirmed that Deleting messages in a Group is Admin only. and even then has some problems as it could remain in the timeline of anyone in the Group who has opened the topic.
