Post by: avidt on Friday 16 February 18 09:01 GMT (UK)
Hi

I have a couple John Burgess and Elizabeth Reeve who married in Bottisham in 1627, neither of hem were baptised ther and I have tried looking in adjoining parishes without success, the only one I am not sure about is Swaffham Bulbeck. Any help would ne much appreciated.

Kind Regards

David

My mother's family come from this immediate area, and in common with a lot of the local people were active Baptists. The Baptists do not baptise infants, the rite is for adults only, and by total immersion, usually in a local river, or in coastal communities the sea.
