Hi.
I am digitising and archiving my great aunt and uncle's letters from the war years.
In 1945 my great uncle was staying at 'Penrose' Lake View Road, Felbridge, East Grinstead. This address is referred to several times in letters to him from his sister but i have no idea who he was visiting. Please can anyone tell me if there is a way of finding out who was living there in 1945, I am trying to recontruct his life through the family letters and this is a blank at the moment.
Thank you
Alison

Have you checked with Surrey records office whether they have any electoral registers for that period?

This is all brilliant, thank you. I now have names to investigate, a picture and I will get in touch with the Sussex archives and ask for help. I really appreciate this!
