Title: Searching for John Maher Military Records WW1

Hi don't know if I am on right page. I am searching for military records for John Maher. ( Army ) He was born approx. 1878 Tipperary Ireland ( Thurles ) He married in Liverpool 1901 to Ellen Roche c1880. He was in WW1 family reports he served in India. He was pensioned out of Army and died 1933. His family home was 99 St Anne Street Liverpool 3

Do you know when he left the Army?

Can only guess it was when war ended. No living relatives to ask.

His records might have been destroyed in the Blitz in WW2 ; if he was in the army after 1920 then his records will be with the MOD.

Have you looked on Ancestry for his record?

Don't think he was in Army after 1920. Thank you for your help. I do not have subscription to Ancestry.
