I am researching Elizabeth NOBLE born 1846, born Dundee Scotland. Died 1908, Dundee Scotland
Elizabeth married James Isles BROWN 1868. It is possible that her parents were David NOBLE born 1811. and Agnes PEART.
many thanks. Annette

Found this baptism:
James Isles Brown bpt 1874 at Dundee; parents James Brown and Elizabeth Noble.
1891 Census has a James Isles Brown (b 1875) with parents James Isles Brown (b 1846) and Elizabeth Brown (and siblings) in Coupar Street, Liff, Lochee, Forfarshire (Angus).
James senior shown as a sawmill manager and all the family born Forfarshire.

Hi Annette several tree's on Anc......y have her parents as David Noble and Agnes Mudie....I think you should invest on buying some credits on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk ...As you have their marriage and her death date that will give you her parents names ...The death for Elizabeth Brown other name Noble age 66 makes her born about 1842 if correct age was given ???

The Elizabeth Brown found on 1891 census above gives a birth year of 1841.

The James Isles Brown you mention would have been my Great Grandfather or Great Great Grandfather. My Grandfather (also called James Isles Brown) emigrated from Dundee to Australia in the early 1930s following the death of his parents and only sister..
