Can someone help me find the death registeration of Marjorie Beevers born 1916
-
Hi,
Where was Marjorie born? Can't see a birth for her in England/Wales 1916.
There is this one -
Marjorie Beevers
q2 1915, Barnsley
Vol 9c Page 609
Mother's maiden name - Loft
-
Is Beevers her single or married name?
-
born with surname Keightley sorry
-
Hi did Marjorie marry a William Beevers 1939, did they move to Ipswich, Suffolk after marriage?
Keyboard86
-
Hi again, I can see births, all mmn Keightley
1944 Grimsby as BEVERS
1948 Solihull as BEEVERS
1949 Cleethorpes as BEVERS

Online Death index goes up to 2007 - she may well have lived longer than that.
(indeed, she could be alive still at 102)

ah I see. so all the various sites (ancestry and findmypast etc) only have deaths up til 2007?
why is that? when will it extend?
-
These are the places that you can search death register indexes after 2007 (not online)
Library of Birmingham
Bridgend Local and Family History Centre
City of Westminster Archives Centre
Manchester Central Library
Newcastle City Library
Plymouth Central Library
The British Library
You can always check the probate index

Not that this helps with the date of death for Marjorie Beevers
I see that Marjorie Keightley birth reg Mar qtr. 1916 Hunslet – free to search 1939 Register gives this entry
Ipswich C.B., Suffolk
Marjorie Beevers 1916
also on this record
William Beevers 1914
Using the search criteria for date of birth came up with 1916
Edit - could this be same couple
William Beevers died 16 September 1961 probate Birmingham 7 Nov to widow Marjorie
Edit ~
Just in case the above probate is correct I'm sending a PM to Paulo Leeds
UK Electoral Register 2003 - 2010 possible entry for Marjorie 2003 - 2009

Moderator comment: Do not post information from the 1939 register that is not available from a free search or free results preview
-
As she was only in her mid 40's when her husband died,it is possible that she remarried.
-
Hi the 1948 birth appears to marry Birmingham, and possibly also in Solihull in Electoral Register.

I edited my post earlier have sent a PM to Paulo Leeds with possible address for Marjorie in Solihull
Edit if the correct Marjorie possibly may have died after 2009 - before 2010
-
:) That was what I was working from, so far from Paulo Leeds we do not know who Marjorie Keightley married and if they had any children?!
Keyboard86
-
she married once to William Beevers who did die in 1961

she married once to William Beevers who did die in 1961
She was only 45 when widowed - how do you know for sure she didn't re-marry? There are 2 Marjorie Beevers marriages in Yorkshire - 1966 and 1970
As there were 3 children born in the 1940's - have you tried contacting any of them?
EDIT
Ignore 1970 marriage - children born which would have been impossible for Marjorie.
No children located for the 1966 marriage
-
The 1966 marriage was to Christopher F Fenwick
Births March qtr 1908
Christopher Frank Fenwick Wharfedale 9a 129
Christopher Frank Fenwick aged 91 born 11.2.1908 Death reg January 2000 North Yorkshire

He died 2.1.2000 and left a will

Try a search for Births surname Beevers and mother's maiden name Keightley. I only get 1 result, not 3
-
Did you tick
Phonetic search surnames
If you look at the posting you have copied from reply 5 the surname spelling differs

A ticked Phonetic search surnames brings me all 3.
What does that do to a search? :/

Hi again, I now possibly believe the "BEVERS" births were from the marriage of a Harry Bevers in 1942 Louth, Lincolnshire.

You don't give very much info to help us - it would be helpful if you would tell us where this person fits into your Family History and what other info you have about her?
Given her children's birth years they are possibly still alive so have you tried to contact them - see my earlier reply.
Can you reply re: marriage

Sorry.
She had 2 sons.
1 still alive who I have met but who is uncontactable.
1 called David C Beevers who lived 1942-94
-
OK David C 1942 Solihull, had mmn KEIGHLEY
The 1948 birth looks to have married Birmingham and possibly still living in Solihull.

As previously asked - What is your connection to Marjorie? This post is now on page 4 and we don’t seem to be much further advanced
Have you bothered to check whether the 3 children married and had children who you may be able to contact?
There is a probate entry for a Marjorie Beevers who died 2016 but as that would make her nearly 100 she may not be yours
Given that nobody can find a death under Beevers - you need to explore the possibility that she may have remarried
-
Hi all, I have sent a PM to Paulo Leeds with a possible scenario in Solihull of a Marjorie, the 1948 male birth, and the Widow of David C b 1942 plus daughter living within 2 to 3 miles of each other from Electoral Register.
Have had no response, but I see a new thread has been opened re another topic?

just replied now sorry keyboard86
Carole - I just searched Wills and Probate and found no Marjorie Beevers in 2016
I used this site:

-
Hi again, received your reply to my PM, i believe the question we would all like answered is just what is your connection to this lady?
Keyboard86
-
I just searched Wills and Probate and found no Marjorie Beevers in 2016
Apologies - should have read Marjorie Fenwick - see earlier reply re possible remarriage
-
my connection?
oh she's the wife of my Great-Uncle Bill.
she didn't re-marry, I just really want to insert her death year on my tree
-

OK now we know, so other than David Charles Beevers 1942 are you aware of any other children/marriages of your " "Great Uncle" Bill?

sorry yeah. see post 27. the other is still alive but uncontactable

Can I suggest you check the 1966 marriage to Christopher Fenwick. You can ask the GRO to only issue the cert if her fathers surname was Keightley. If it’s the wrong one they will refund your money
You could spend £10 downloading either a copy of the 2000 will for Christopher Fenwick or the 2016 will for Marjorie Fenwick but neither may give you the identifying info you would get from the marriage cert.
Given the limited info and the fact that no death can be found under Beevers I can’t see any other way forward

they would actually refund if you pick the wrong thing?

You say child b 1948 is uncontactable?
Have you tried them with the shortened version of the christian name on Facebook?
They mention Solihull too,so I'm pretty sure it is the correct person.

ha! :) my experience of private messaging someone not on your friendslist on Facebook is that the message rarely gets seen
-
That may happen 99% of the time - but unless you try you will never know if this is the 1% that does get answered!
-
Choose one of the kids then, they seem to look at the private messages more often.
I have had a lot of success via Facebook, although a lot of people don't realise the Message Request page is there for a while.
As Liz says, nothing ventured nothing gained ;)
-
Hi I see another new thread, just how do you know of at least one son a David C ( Charles ) Beevers b 1942?
Do you know who he married, children ( because I do )
Keyboard86
PS do not mention full names, as they are still alive.
-
hi keyboard86
yes I know of them, but one doesn't respond on Facebook msg and the other has married but I don't know her new name. do you?
-
you could try doing a marriage search here
https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2285732
you will need to create a user name and password but it's free to search
-
ancestry has the same (if not more) of such info though?
-
hi keyboard86
yes I know of them, but one doesn't respond on Facebook msg and the other has married but I don't know her new name. do you?
Was it the 1971 or 1974 birth in Solihull for David C and wife, as one is still unmarried by the looks of it with her widowed mother in Electoral Register 2002.
Keyboard86
Think the wife dies 2005 Birmingham.
-
ancestry has the same (if not more) of such info though?
but you don't need a subscription for familysearch
-
She died in 2010, details here
