This is an image of my ancestor in her Salvation Army uniform from 1910. I would be grateful if someone could clean up & colourise this image in the Army colours.

Hi Carol - I now have a number of great restored & colourised images thanks to you & all the other talented people on here. Is there some clever software that allows you to add text to an image? e.g Mary Ann Stevens (1872-1956) in her Salvation Army Uniform

I've not got my colouring box out yet and it's suddenly turned very dark. Here are a couple of different monos.

I hope these are the correct colours for the Salvation Army uniform. Of course there are no colour photos from 1910, but I did find a colour sketch.

Both of your monochrome versions are lovely so thank you Gadget - I especially like the 'warmer' version. This lady appears again in a family portrait that I have posted today.

Pat - I think you have got the colours pretty much spot on. Great to see her in her coloured uniform. I now have a wonderful set of images of this lady. Great work.

Thank you Pat for adding the words & dates - can't decide if I prefer the image with or without but you have kindly given me both. :)
