Title: Isabel(la) Copland (1812) and William Reid (1801) + family
Post by: themonkeymonkey on Wednesday 28 February 18 21:34 GMT (UK)
Isabel(la) Copland (1812 Rathven) married William Reid (1801 Rathven) 6th June 1840 at Rathven.  I cannot find death dates for either of them.  They had 8 childen, John (1841-1924 died New York USA), Jessie Reid (1842-1918 died Maine USA), William Reid ( 1848 – 1929 died New York USA),  Jane Reid (1852-1879), Isabella Reid (1844),  Helen Reid (1846), James Reid (1850) and Mary Reid (1854).  All were born in Rathven but cannot find death dates.
Isabella Copland was living with daughter Isabella in 1881 High Street, Buckie.  There is another 2 Isabella Reids living together in 1891 but it gives place of birth as Turriff for the elder one, again they are living in Buckie but at a differnet address of 1 Reidhaven Street.
William Reid snr does not appear in any census after 1851 but he appears valuation rolls 1855 and 1865 as tenant occupier of Newtonhill, Rathven.
Does anyne else have them in their trees please?  Thanks.
