Hi Carole
Grace's death certificate in Australia states her birth to be at Heatherslaw or Hetherslaw. I have not picked this on the IGI index. Have you managed to see it anywhere else in Northumberland? Much obliged.. thanks Rob

No baptism in Ford parish for any Home/Horne/Homes or in Etal Prebyterian. One Hume but no Grace, David or Margaret.

Thanks Janis. The Hornes were fairly religious being strict Presbyterian so pretty sure she would have been baptised. I know they lived close to the Scottish border. Perhaps she was baptised on the Scottish side? Cheers Rob

I just wanted to point out that Trees may have this info wrong;
They have a William Reveley Horn as a Son of David/Margaret married Ellen Bowes Benson.
Ellen B Benson is unm in 1861 Census but William jas wife Ellen and 2 children by then.
Marriage is on FreeBMD 1850 in Leeds, William Horn/Eleanor Benson on same page;
1851 they are lodging in Sunderland, Durham
William Horns 35 Lodger, Mar, Boiler Smith, born Newcastle, Northumberland
Eleanor Horns 19 Lodgers Wife, born Coventry, Warwickshire
Image of William has age as 25**
Enumerators 2's are unusual.
