GRO has the 2 births of an Emily Jane Davies in Oswestry in 1865 and 1866. According to the 1881 census she was born in Llanymynech. Could anyone could do a look up to find if either of these children was baptised there to see if one had the father William and mother Mary formerly Jones? Thanks

A baptism will not give mother's maiden name.
What were the maiden names for each on on the GRO index?

The two registrations for Emily Jane Davies in Oswestry RD and MMN Jones that could fit:

June Q 1866 6A 683

Difficult to decide which it would be.

Thinking about this a bit more.

Children were normally baptised soon after birth in those days - so a 24th March 1866 baptism would most likely be the one registered in June Q 1866.
