Quite dark but....

I found she was in Carmen, but in the role of Michaela, did she have a dagger, of course it may have been another opera altogether .

Strange my first thought was Lady McBeth.
I notice she wearing the same bodice & shoes as Mrs. Gordon on the bomb site.

I immediately thought of Lady Macbeth too.

'Is this a dagger that which I see before me....'

And don't mention the Play  :-X

PS - did Michaela have a dagger during the fight? I'm not an opera fan.

Doesn't Juliet kill herself using Romeo's dagger?

She does indeed, maybe the production company were using costumes in more than one opera. Does she look like a Juliet.

Juliet does look a good bet, as she appears to be pointing the dagger towards herself.

Just before she commits suicide she takes Romeo's dagger and says:

"O happy dagger! This is thy sheath. There rust, and let me die."

(Can't remember what she said in West Side Story )

The names--we'll some of them--in the newspaper cutting are from Carmen. Escamillo ,Don Juan, Carmen.
She looks absolutely, terribly harmless  ;D
Is she a relative of yours,.If Carmen she would be a soprano but sometimes a mezzo soprano sings the role.
It is funny how each fashion imposes its style on theatrical costumes.
