On the same page is George Atchison.
The above marriage cert would help to find the father's name of George and confirm the above census details.
Elizabeth Jane Atchison died 16 January 1879.

Looking for the children's births from the 1861 previously posted, it would appear that their mother's maiden name was Dickeson. This could be George's birth -

Thank you to Rosie and JJen for your interest and contributions. The 1861 shows a 15 year old coal miner at more than likely Seaton Burn Colliery, Northumberland with parents Robert Atchinson coal miner b Norham and Catherine (Dickeson) b Tweedmouth.
George then reappears as a Methodist Minister in 1875 Woodford, Essex. This suggests an interesting passage between 1861 and 1875.
I have not found him on the 1871 but the Index of Methodist Ministers who have died in the work shows a George Atchison who commenced in 1870 and died in 1930.
Any further information to fill the 1861-1875 gap most welcome.

Just a snippet of info :) -
There is a newspaper article in Leeds Mercury 05 November, 1874 Inquest at Bridlington Quay which refers to Rev George Atchison who aroused the inmates and gave the alarm of a fire at a house in Garrison Street, Bridlington (Boden family).

Hi Cuffie,
Thank you very much for this research. This establishes the missing link I have been looking for between the MINER and the MINISTER by showing his father as Robert Atchison miner.

You're welcome Geoff.
I've found another later newspaper article, it's lengthy and full of info. Below is the opening part and the (lenghty) remainder talks about how George gave his last sermon and the presentations to him and his wife.

Rev. G. Atchison's Remarkable Career
Forty Years In The United Methodist Ministry
After a ministry extending over the long period of forty years, the Rev. George Atchison, who for the past six years has laboured in the Northwich United Methodist circuit, has decided to retire from his ministerial duties, and now becomes a supernumary. As a Methodist minister the rev. gentleman has had a most successful career. For three and half years he was stationed at Kirkwhelpington, in Northumberland, and afterwards, for a short period, he laboured in Stalybridge. Then he removed to Bridlington, where he stayed for three years. At the call of the Connexion he next proceeded to Woodford, where he exercised one of the most remarkable ministries in connection with the Free Churches. The Woodford Church, originally a Free Methodist, with a small membership, under Mr Atchison's guidance became a Union Church not in name alone, but in fact, a large body of the congregation being made up of representatives of the Congregational and Baptist Churches. For 25 years Mr Atchison remained at Woodford, and thus established a record in the Connexion. He then removed to the Cheetham Hill circuit, where he was located for three years, at the end of which time he came to Northwich in 1901. During his stay in the town Mr Atchison has endeared himself not only to the members of his own religious community, but to those belonging to other churches as well, and he and his esteemed wife leave Northwich with the good wishes of a host of friends that the remaining years of their lives may be bright and happy. Failing health alone has compelled Mr Atchison to retire from the more active services of the ministry, and we believe it is his intention to ultimately take up his residence near London, where he has many friends.
Edit:
George is also mentioned in A History of the County of Essex: Volume 6 which you can view online at British History Online.
