Title: Italian Ancestor: John Garibaldi
Post by: KC83 on Monday 05 March 18 14:33 GMT (UK)
Hello,

I think this may be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but how would i go about finding more information on John Garibaldi, born abt 1822. He came to South Wales before 1861 and married Catherine Sullivan in January 1861 in Neath. On their marriage certificate his father is listed as Dominick Garibaldi.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kris

Several people with surname Garibaldi on census gave Genoa as POB.

Hello Maiden Stone

Thank you for the reply, I guess that would be a good place to start.. A few have also listed Liguria on family search, looked at where Liguria is and it is in Genoa i think... So this may be a good lead to follow?

Thanks

Kris

The famous Garibaldi was from Nice. I don't like biscuits called after either.
Do you know about an Anglo-Italian FH society?
