This is an image either of my 1st cousin 2x removed or his son. The father was born in 1872 & the son in 1899. The photographers A&G Taylor were granted a royal warrant in 1886 & so I believe were only entitled to call themselves 'photographers to the Queen' from that date. If that is correct then the photo must be of Frank junior - can someone confirm I'm right?
I am also looking for someone to kindly take on the challenge of adding some colour to this sweet photo.

It does look Edwardian but children can be quite difficult to date.

Lovely coloured versions from Japeflakes and Rami. I would have said Edwardian too and he looks to be about 10 years old. Another superb image Keith.

Thanks Carol - I only received this image the other day having found a new cousin via Ancestry who is the great grandson of Francis & Mary the Salvationists. As Jim suggested I have asked him if he has the back of this image as I'm confused now who the little boy is! ???
