Post by: Swansea Jill on Saturday 10 March 18 10:39 GMT (UK)
Private David Evans, 17551, from Landore, Swansea, joined the 14th Battalion Welsh Regiment, Swansea Pals, and was posted to France in December 1915 as a stretcher bearer.  Later in the war he was transferred to the 15th Battalion, Carmarthen Pals.  It was during a trench raid on the 11th March 1918 in Houplines near Armentieres that he and another six men were killed.  They are buried in the Cite Bonjean Cemetery in Armentieres.

Thanks rosie99. I intended it to go on the In Memoriam board, but obviously I got it wrong!  Can it be moved?
