When were they born? If you know Percy's date of birth you can use the GRO site to find his mother's maiden name and that might help find a marriage.

You can check the GRO index on freebmd to see if the Percy that married Gertrude had a middle name https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

The Percy does give the middle name Charles  but when I checked earlier and put in Gertrude there was no record.

Using freebmd I just selected Marriages - no dates or places
Surname Partridge
Spouse Kidman
It brought up 3 results your couple being one of them  ;)

No need to feel silly, sometimes these search engines are better with less information especially when you have more unusual names.

James Julian Kidman
Death 6 Apr 1920
Death Cambridgeshire
Probate Date 25 Jun 1920
The probate index gives a bit more detail as to his executors
https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills

Select the period for 1920 wills before putting in surname & year on the probate site (Example below)

Found this very interesting.Seems the effects were left to two of his sons. Would his wife Louisa have stayed on at the farm? She died in 1930.

They were the executors of the will, not necessarily the benefactors  ;)

Thanks once again for clearing things up.

I would probably get my ancestors on Ancestry (Free at library) but the computers at my local library have been down for a while now.
