Title: Italian records
Post by: ccmmgr on Wednesday 14 March 18 11:36 GMT (UK)
Hello everyone,

I would like to find my Italian great-grandfather's war records. When he was still alive he told me some rather frightening stories about being caught up serving in Africa on both Axis and Allied lines! I believe he had to decommission mines and may have temporarily been held as a POW. Where is the best place for me to start looking for his records?

Thank you.

You could try an email via the "Contact" button to the Public Relations department of the Italian Ministry of Defence web site here: http://www.difesa.it/EN/URP/Pagine/default.aspx

Or better perhaps to the Military Attache at the Italian Embassy in London
