Thus far i've been unable to trace the parents of Petrus Jacobus Kock * 1847 + 20 july 1925 in Fauresmith/Edenburg District. His first wife was Elizabeth Johanna Maria Kock (b. de Villiers) and they had nine children which I've traced successfully.
During the Anglo Boer war 1899 - 1902 he was wounded and treated in Bloemfontein prior to being sent to Bethulie Concentration Camp - shown in British Concentration Camp Database, where he met up with his wife and some of his children.
After declaration of peace they all returned to the farm Leeuberg (which was burnt to the ground by the British forces) in Fauresmith/Edenburg District. According to what I was told some time ago the original farmhouse is no longer occupied but He and his first wife are buried there. ??? ???

Hi Peter, Have you looked on geni.com? There is a family of Kock's that seems correct and could be who you are researching.

Hi Catherine,
Thank you so much for your interest. Indeed, I have checked the Kock entries on Geni and found them to be the same as those I have already recorded.
Kind regards,
Peter :) :) :)
