Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the marriage and birth for the couple John Peacock and Mary. They had four children all born in Shinfield Berkshire

Fanny b.1789
Mary b.1795
William b.1797
John b.1800

The information are from Familysearch.

I hope some of you can help me ,

There is a Phillimore’s Transcript on Freereg which might be a possibility.

Hi Jane,

There is a tree on Anc...y that lists  the same info  that Colin has provided. However, they say John Pocock was bapt 1762 Bradfield (s/o John & Jane (nee Lawrence) who married 5-11-1747 Bradfield) and Mary Cheney bapt 11-7-1762 Clewer, Berks d/o John & Hannah.

Thanks for your answers  :)

John Pocock and Mary Cheney could be the right ones but i‘m not sure because their children all were christened in Bradfield,Berkshire.

My ancestor John Peacock was born 1800 in Shinfield Berkshire his siblings Fanny b.1789 Mary b.1795 and William b.1797 too.

John and Mary Cheney had also a son called John b.1791.

The Mary Cheney who was baptised in Clewer 11 July 1762 was possibly buried there the next day - 12 Jul 1762.

I have not checked what happened to her but would think this more likely to be her, Aldworth is close to Bradfield

Thanks for the information but first of all I have to know if John Pocock and Mary Cheney who married 1787 in Bradfield are the parents of my John Peacock born 1800 Shinfield.  ???

Hi Jane,

Well I can't say I've had much success in finding any further info for you except for a burial
in Shinfield 31-12-1792 John Peacock - buried by the parish (per BerksFHS burial CD).

Doesn't really help I know.

This John Peacock who died 1792 in Shinfield could be the son of John and Mary Cheney who was born 1791 in Bradfield but I just suspect
