Do any of the RootsWeb members live, or travel, near to Milton of Buchanan in Stirlingshire?
I am working on a project of Remembrance for men from my local towns of Grimsby and Cleethorpes. One of my men is buried in Buchanan Churchyard Extension, by the name of Leslie Porter. He died in 1941 whilst serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps.
Would it be possible for someone take a high resolution photograph of his headstone, please?

Thanks Monica. I did have that webpage open just to confirm his details but failed to add it to my post.

Thanks for the suggestion but I refuse to give them a penny of my money. Profiting from other people, whose time and efforts are given for free, is not my idea of generosity.

Hello CC.
I can send you a couple of general views showing the CWG stones in Buchanan Churchyard Extension and the Church if it's of any help.
The stones are all grouped together and the photos show these. I visited the Churchyard a year or so ago and didn't take individual photos as they were already on the Scottish War Graves Project page. Unfortunately, all these photos have now been blocked by Photobucket as they no longer allow free 3rd party hosting.

Thanks for the offer Anne. It is only his headstone I would like a photo of.
Photobucket have really kicked themselves in the @rse by not allowing free 3rd-party hosting. I bet people stopped using their 'services' in absolute droves.
