I have just located a ww1 draft reg card for Michael Henry Pomfret (spelled Pomphrett in Ireland) residing at 39 Elliot St Hartford Conn 1917-1918. Born 29th July 1884 Ballycrenane Cork Ireland.
I am looking for any records for Michael - his parents were Michael Pomphret & Margaret Aherne, i.e passenger record/marriage/children. Thank you.

Have you tried searching www.familysearch.org?  It is a free site, but you might have to sign up to be able to view the documents.

A quick look showed quite a few listings for a Michael Pomfret b. ~ 1884

Naturalization Index:  21 Feb 1918

you can try searching the SSDI (Social Security Death Index) for the children, then try googling their name w/wo the death year.  You might find more obituaries

He is also listed on the Ellis Island site going to New London, Connecticut.  It is also a free site, but may require you to sign in.
