Title: Grandma Williamson taken in Northern Ireland
Post by: cmatt on Friday 23 March 18 07:32 GMT (UK)
Can anyone please date my photo?  It was taken in Northern Ireland.  On the reverse of the photo is written Grandma Williamson, Bovally.

I had two grandmothers from NI.  Sarah WILLIAMSON (nee McPHERSON) (my great grandmother age 88 at her death in 1954) and Eliza WILLIAMSON (nee CASKEY)(my 2 times great grandmother age 85 at her death in 1902).

Any help would be appreciated.

This is post WW1 - early 1920's when Sarah would have been in her late 40's which looks about right.

I was going to suggest early 1920s and in her 50s....unless I've got my sums wrong.

Thank you both for your thoughts on the date of my photo of my grandmother from NI.

I thought, originally, on looking at the photo, it seemed too recent to be of my 2 times g grandmother.

Best wishes  .  .  .
