I'm looking for the marriage of William H Buckland between 1861 and 1871.
Born in Bridgewater, Somerset, 1842.
Parents Charles Buckland and Harriet Lawrence.
In the 1861 Census he is unmarried and living with his family in Swansea.
In the 1871 Census he is a widower and living in Brixton, London.
Thanks

Looks good but that marriage gives his father as George Buckland engineer :(
William Henry Buckland clerk in London & Westminster Bank.
-
Another option in Jun 1870 St Saviour
Bride either Kate Gooding or Susan Ann Yeoman
There's a Kate Buckland death Jun 1871 St Saviour age 26 who may have died just before census in April :-\

Parents Charles Buckland and Harriet Lawrence.
Do you know what Charles occupation was?
-
I wonder if the name of the father is wrong on the marriage Rosie found because everything else seems to fit - did William remarry in 1881?
-
Did your William die in 1882 with a wife Catherine Amelia only that one was a clerk in the London and Westminster Bank.
-
I noticed that the father did not match with the marriage I posted but as the occupation of the groom was the same as that in the 1871 census (Brixton -Lambeth) mentioned by OP I posted it anyway :)
Then I went shopping so could not pursue it ::) ;D

Thanks for all the information.
In the 1881 Census for Swansea, Charles Buckland is a Rail Waggon Builder.
In the 1851 Census for Bedminster, he is a Railway Carriage Fitter.
I think the William Henry Buckland that married Catherine Amelia Scantlebury in 1881, and died in 1882 in Wimbledon may be the same one, but I'm not sure.
Interestingly, I think Catherine's mother was Catherine Atlee - which was also the surname of William's first wife.

One of the witnesses to the marriage to Annie Sophia looks like John Condersleys Scantlebury
-
Annie Sophia's mother was Mary - she was b Leatherhead c1842. mmn Lawrence. Father is William b Berkshire c1815 [Atler on 1851 - in Chelmsford area].
Catherine Scantlebury nee Atlee was also b Berkshire and has father Thomas. There are potential baptisms of a William and Catherine, children on Thomas & Elizabeth, in Warfield in the right years. So William henry may have married cousins

Thank you very much everyone.
I think that just about answers my initial query.
