Elizabeth HENTSON & Francis STARBUCK married at Harby 04 Dec 1752. I have checked the surname spelling for Elizabeth and it is clear her maiden name was HENTSON although I know its possible to have variations.
Francis was a son of Joseph STARBUCK and Mary JARVASE of Hose bap 15 Aug 1725.

Wondering if there may be variations to the surname given Elizabeth may well have been illiterate and as a result could pronounce her name phonetically which may then have been interpreted by the vicar as HENTSON.
Any suggestions as the surname seems unusual and I am unable to get any traction of its origins & distribution in Britain.

The only one I can find which comes close is
Elizabeth Henton 27 October 1724 Prestwold, Parents William and Anne
William is a Gent from Burton. A son John was also baptised the same day.
Prestwold is about 12 miles from Harby.

Thanks so much for assisting me.
I am not sure "Elizabeth Henton 27 October 1724 Prestwold, Parents William and Anne" is the correct person simply because Francis was a Labourer.
I was just wondering if perhaps Elizabeth was a widow when she married although the record did not mention this status?

The Parish Register entry just gives the names and date - no mention of marital status unfortunately.
