Hello restorers - can these 2 brothers have a little clean up please
Thank you
Keith

One from me...

1 from me.

Excellent Andy - a great 'after' to sit alongside the original 'before'. :)
Thanks so much
Keith

Thanks Jim - another great restore from you.
Would the baby often be 'restrained' for the purposes of taking the photo - that belt looks a little uncomfortable.... :-\
Keith
-
The belt is just part of the baby wear. On saying that they were often restrained by their mothers who were carefully concealed in the photo. Sometimes you'll see a baby on mom's lap with a cover over mom & just her hands showing.

That's hilarious ;D ;D Why unearth would the mother be covered up in this mad way??
Keith

Perhaps she had a face like a bag o' spanners.

color one

B.W one

J&J with colour
edit: also added a less vibrant version

Thank you for both versions Rami - I still think a coloured version helps bring out more detail from the original image & yours is an excellent example of this.
Thanks again

Great colour version Martyn - thanks for taking the time to do this - it's really appreciated.

I added a second version under the original for you. I felt the colours were a touch over saturated first time. So hopefully the second one is a touch better.
-
I think I prefer the second one slightly better so thanks for adding Martyn - much appreciated

Oh that cracked me up Jim ;D ;D ;D...It might explain why I preferred my children to have their photos taken without me in them ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
"Ghost Mothers"...I've seen a few on the internet some of which are horrendous :o

A clean from me
Pat

One with some colour added,
Pat

A lovely clean-up Pat - when I put this one up I really wasn't expecting anyone to add colour so all the colour versions have been a nice surprise.
Thank you as always for your talented work.

Hi Keith
Just found these in my RC folder. One is a deeper tone than the other. I did them yesterday but something must have intervened!
Gadget
-
Both are lovely Gadget - I would have questioned that the baby was a boy before you educated me about 'breeching' ;)
I will add both versions to my ever increasing family photo records.
Fantastic, thanks very much

Still working on this one for the second time Keith...I had nearly finished it earlier when Microsoft encountered a problem and closed it down and I lost the work :-\ You do have plenty of excellent ones already.
I think I can see the foot of a posing stand to the left of Joseph as you look at the photo...he also appears to be holding something in his right hand. I love your photos 8)

Yes this one seems to have been popular with the restorers but always room for one more Carol ;)
Never heard of a 'posing stand' before but I guess it does what it says. I wasn't sure if he was holding his pocket but it looks like something metallic :-\

Like this Keith...designed to keep the subject standing straight:

Worth waiting for Carol - lovely tint & framing & thank you for adding their names ;)
Is Joe holding a comb?

My pleasure..It could be a pocket flap on on his jacket.
