A few years ago I joined roots chat, I posted information on the Ireland Forum regarding the Tierney and Ryan family ...the families are part of my mother’s family history. I am getting nowhere fast. I joined ancestry.uk but i am still confused.. this what I know from census records. On the Tierney side:
George Tierney DOB: @1872 born Liverpool. 1909 living 8 Bridgewater st Liverpool. 1911 trade public’s s manager living 20 Park Place, Liverpool he married Annie Tierney Nee Ryan DOB: 22/12/1873 Liverpool. Died 25/5/1937 Liverpool. They married St Bernard’s Liverpool 14/12/1899
George’s Father Michael Tierney Trade Butcher Journeyman 1899 living at 46 Copperfield St Liverpool
Ann’s parents Ann Ryan Nee Finnerty DOB @1845 Ireland Died 16/3/1898 Liverpool married to Patrick Ryan DOB: @1841 Ireland married 25/1/1863 Liverpool. I believe Ann’s father was Michael Finnerty deceased before 1863.
Patrick’s father was I believe Patrick Ryan.
I am interested in the parents because it is a massive brick wall ..I have looked and looked and I need another set of eyes to find what I am missing ..any questions and I will try to answer them..
In anticipation...thanks Keith

Wrong!
My first name is Kevin; I have a twin brother called Keith ;D (who has no interest in genealogy!)
-
the Michael Tierney who married Margery Layland (not Margaret) had children
James
Alice
John Joseph
Ada Jane
Oswald thomas
Arthur
Francis
so I would surmise not your Michael's marriage
Th tree on Ancestry has no source data to prove that this couple were George's father
