Hi.
Has anyone access to Cookham Pr's, for the details of the baptism on FamilySearch.
Mary Anne Lacey. 16 Dec 1810, Cookham, Berkshire. Daughter of William & Elizabeth Lacey.
And, if possible, the marriage for William Lacey & Elizabeth, and any possible burials.
Thanks for looking.
Steve. :)

Berkshire Marriage Index
William Lacey married Elizabeth Roberts by Banns 12 January 1809 at Holy Trinity, Cookham.
I can only find the same details you already have for Mary Ann's baptism.

So, no details of occupation then, nor witnesses for the marriage.
Anyway, thanks very much for looking. Much appreciated. :)

All I found was the transcription. I haven't seen an image of the Register entry which may posiibly have witness names on it.

Thanks Emeltom. ;D

Possible death for William :-\
LACEY, WILLIAM age 75
1847 Dec Quarter in COOKHAM Volume 06 Page 118
Buried at Holy Trinity 6 Nov 1847

Thanks very much. That explains why he wasn't buried in Princes Risborough, Bucks.
Mary Ann Lacey had a sister, Eliza Lacey, baptised 1818 in P.Risborough. 1851 census shows her with father, as a Brick Layer.
Baptism - 28 Jun 1818. Eliza daughter of William & Elizabeth LACEY of town, Bricklayer.
No burial, that I can see in Princes Risborugh, for mother and wife of William Lacey. She could have died, between 1818 and 1841, or 1851.
The 1841 census return for what I believe is William Lacey.(b1779.Cookham), is so feint, that I cannot read the return. He was a bricklayer in 1851 census. Transcribed as STACEY.
Thanks for the help Emeltom. ;)

Oh, perhaps not. 1847 death would not place him in Princes Risborough, in 1851. Unless he 'arose' from the grave. ;D
Back to the drawing board. :)

Do you have a reference for the unreadable 1841 Census entry because the only William Lacey I can find is also a Bricklayer but was born in county and has a wife Ann.

HO107/15/ Book: 15/9 p 13

But the transcription has a Sarah 'Stacey' c1781 with a William Stacey(Lacey). Someone has entered a 'Correction'. ???

William Lacey age 70 tried Berkshire 19 Oct 1846. He was acquitted.
So this maybe the William Lacey you mention.?
Steve. :)

See what you mean about the 1841 Census. The transcription of the version I looked at has him down as William Lacey, next person ??? Lacey, next person Harriet ??? born Berkshire 1826, Next person is male born Berkshire all other details are ???
No help at all

For what it's worth, there's another William LACEY at Market Street, Cookham in 1841. He's a harness maker, not born in county, aged 65-69, in a household with other surnames.

HO107 / Piece 15 bk15 f9 p13 ;D is the really feint one
-
I photo shopped the 1841 census that is feint. His trade is a shoemaker. So that's not him.
Steve. :)

Ok. I've looked at all the deaths in the Wycombe Dist, and eliminated the ones most likely for William Lacey, using age at death(GRO), and the Parish Records for Horsenden, Princes Risborough and Lacey Green.
Not sure where to look next, but I guess so much will remain a mystery.
Thanks everyone, much appreciated. :)
