I get the impression that there is a musical element to this one...there looks to be the top half of a music stand on the chair, unless I'm misinterpreting it and it's something else. He could be holding a grading certificate.

another of those sharpened while scanning ones, Keith. You can tell by the white lines around the edges  :-X

Both are excellent Peter - I particularly like the sepia tone version - thanks for improving his hair as well

Sam's side of the family were all musical as opposed to my side who were/are all tone deaf  ;D

You're ever so lucky. Most of us have just a few old ones. I think the bulk of mine are post 1900  :'(

The bizarre thing is that I have very few of my parents/grandparents as my brother threw out our 2 family albums after my dad died  >:(
Apart from a few, all the ones I have posted here have come from cousins who I have made contact with as a result of my family research - I just keep squeezing them for more  ;D
