I wonder if you could confirm if you have copy of any bdm docs from VicBDM for the family members as these usually are full of quality info.

Yes, :) :) umm now err I am confuddled .... 'her' .... is this grandma or grandma's mum..... perhaps my confuddlement is influenced by late hour (11:12pm) but your question is not clear to me. I will catch up during tomorrow.

Ronald died June 1945 and Edward 1944. Yet, Ronald isn’t mentioned in Edwards, death notice.
Therefore, I can’t see how Ronald can be the brother/step-brother of Nellie.

Stanley was born in the early 20s, so he won’t be on BDM. 1925 age at death in 2001 is 76.

Before 26th November 1914, Evelyn Georgina had registered to vote using the name Evelyn Georgina KOFOED.
She is shown at Ararat with others of the surname including Edward KOFOED who is a miner.
In Woodend in 1913 is one James LENARD. Registered as living at Trentham, a farmer.
In 1917, the KOFOED couple, Edward and Evelyn are at Woodend, with Edward registered as living at Park Street Trentham.
The first child to the couple was born in Trentham in 1915.
Olive May KOFOED. 1915. #17210. Father Edward. Mother Evelyn DALY.
I cannot make another definite sighting for James LENARD.

Thanks for posting the questions, its been an absorbing search. Lillian comes across as a strong person to have got through all that came her way. I wonder if there is a baptism record for Ronald that could help with his middle name(s) and date of birth?
