Hi all, would you be able to tidy up Maud for me please? We believe Maud is sitting on her mothers knee. Many thanks

Looks like a good scan Sussexgirl :D Very nice photo isn't it. :)
. . would love to have a go at it but eyes won't allow it at the moment.
You should get plenty of people wanting to give it a shot - have already in fact.

Thank you all so much, your work is brilliant. Yes, it’s a lovely photo Wiggy thank you. I have another photo of a teenage Maud which I would love to post but am having problems scanning her. I scanned both on the same settings yesterday Maud and Mum was the right size but the other was too large, not being too tech minded I have no idea why! Any ideas? They are the same size photos

b&w try
Good hat pin!
By too large do you mean the file size or the physical size of the photo?

Hi, Sussexgirl.
Your posted image is just under the limit so the other one may be just over if it is marginally bigger. You could try masking off one edge of it if it doesn't affect the picture. Or, you could perhaps try scanning it at a lower resolution. The one you did looks like it is done at 600 dpi. If you scan it at the next lower resolution that your scanner has, it should still be a good detailed image for restorers to work on.
My scanner looks like this, with the resolution option the third one down. Yours should have something similar.
