John Ryan born c. 1885 to Parents Denis Ryan & Mary Ryan (Donoghue)
John married in 1916 in Scotland to Jane McIntyre . On marriage document both his parents were dead & his fathers occ given as a mariner.
On Johns death entry in St Ninians Kirkintillock his origins were given as Midleton Co Cork.
I have checked Civil Reg for Johns birth, Parents marriage, deaths & Censuses all to no avail.
Would appreciate if someone could see anything I may have missed. Thank you.

Church Registers?
-
No joy Hallmark - Marriages none - Both Baptisms/marriages end 1881. Is there a register of seamen anywhere as Denis Ryan was a Mariner & son John was a Marine Pilot.

tks sinann will check these. On family search found a record of a birth of a John ryan in 1868 to parents denis ryan & mary donohue in Limerick which would make denis 48 when he married in 1916 so doubt if it is him

Have you looked only at the civil marriage record?
If they married in a Catholic Church the church may hold more information as they would have looked for information from John's home parish where he was baptised and this may have been recorded.

TY myluck - I am doing this research for a family member of Ryans and the information I have is that when John died the information documented stated he originated in midleton co cork I will check back again with them regarding the church marriage record if there is one. Have checked previous mail from enquiry and the Midleton information came from Parish Priest of St Ninians Kirkintillock death entry stated he originated in Midleton

If it came from the Church may be they received information about his baptism which would help
Unfortunately the Midleton Parish Records LINK (https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0079) records online only go up to 1881
The Scottish church may have recorded information but also the Midleton Church could have also - some times you see notes on baptisms giving a date of marriage and a spouse's name etc.

Thank you myluck will check the midleton records after 1881 :)
